Class Information
Welcome to Ladybirds Class (Year 2)
Ladybirds class is taught by Miss Warner.
In Year 2 we work hard to encourage our children to become independent and resilient learners in preparation for the next key stage. We achieve this by having high expectations for learning and a happy, positive and safe learning environment that will empower young children to engage, critically think and motivate them to learn.
Year 2 is about building on those basic skills the children have learnt in Year 1 and encouraging the children to really use their thinking and reasoning skills, joining in class discussions and offering opinions and suggestions based on their knowledge so far. We continue to study ‘The Great Fire Of London’, Neil Armstrong and ’The Gunpowder Plot’ and explore how and why they are so significant in History.
We work hard as part of a team to earn dojos, class of the week and marbles for our class jar. We celebrate positive choices and show resilience in all that we do.

Our timetable can be downloaded below. Here, parents and pupils have the opportunity to view the class schedule to see the day-to-day routine including the range of curriculum that is covered. We have found that children with SEND have responded well to visually seeing the structure of the day ahead.
